Qualifying Rules
All first, second, and third-place finishers at an ANG state qualifying event will qualify for the 2025 Australian National Games.
Entry Regulations
- 1. Teams must consist of members of the same gender.
- 2. Team rosters are limited to 15 individuals, including non-playing coaches, captains, and bench personnel. Roster changes are permitted only as outlined in Rule F.
- 3. There is no limit on the number of out-of-state players on a team's roster; however, roster changes are allowed only as permitted under Rule F. The captain is responsible for declaring the team's residency, subject to ANG approval, at the time of registration.
- 4. All registration and team rules apply to non-playing coaches, captains, and bench personnel.
- 5. At the Australian National Games, athletes may compete on up to two teams per sport, provided that the teams are in different age divisions and scheduled to play in completely separate sessions.
- 6. Age divisions for all team competitions will be determined by the age of the youngest team member as of December 31, 2025.
Format
Match play format will depend on the number of teams registered. It consists of either 2 out of 3 sets, with the first two sets played to 21 points (win by 2) and a third set played to 15 points (win by 2) if necessary, or for Pool Play only, 2 sets to 21 points (win by 2). The final playoff format will be determined at the discretion of the ANG.
Every effort will be made to ensure that teams have a minimum of 6 matches.
All competitions will follow a best of 3 matches format.
Awards will be given for 1st through 4th place in each age division.
Teams will be responsible for providing line judges and scorekeepers during the competition.
The net height will comply with USA Volleyball rules.
Default Rule S will be strictly enforced during competition.
